Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A specialized teaching opportunity is available for professionals skilled in educating Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. This contract position serves multiple school locations in the Bucks County area, Pennsylvania, including Easton and Doylestown, through the Intermediate Unit 22. The role focuses on delivering Extended School Year (ESY) instruction and related services to support student success during summer months.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting lessons to meet individual needs.Collaborate with educational teams and related service providers to develop and implement effective learning plans.Maintain clear communication with families and staff regarding student progress and program goals.Participate in orientation and setup prior to ESY instructional dates.Deliver services either center-based or itinerant, depending on location assignment and caseload.Qualifications & Requirements:Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.Residence within 35 minutes of assigned site with reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance.Commitment to the full ESY schedule: June 29 to July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday, with student hours typically from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.Ability to work with students exhibiting a range of needs, including moderate to severe behaviors.Candidates must not have worked with this client through another agency in the past year.Additional Information:Work hours vary from 12 to 24 hours per week based on school location and student needs.Assignments are made considering candidates qualifications and proximity to site; flexibility regarding classroom grade level and site placement may be required.This role is ideal for educators seeking to apply specialized skills in a dynamic school setting while supporting the academic growth of DHH students. xijylhu If qualified and interested in joining this impactful program, please submit your application promptly to be considered for placement.
