Job DescriptionIf you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Job DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A specialized contract position is available for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) to serve students through an extended school year program in Pennsylvania. These roles focus on delivering instruction and support to visually impaired students in Bucks County and surrounding areas.Location & Schedule:Positions primarily serve sites in Lower and Central Bucks County, with some duties extending to Doylestown and other nearby cities.Candidates must reside within 35 minutes of their assigned school site and have reliable transportation.ESY instructional dates run from June 29 through July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday.Student hours are typically 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with some variance depending on itinerant or center-based assignments.Weekly hours range from 12 to 24, depending on caseload and location.Key Responsibilities:Providing specialized instructional services to students identified with visual impairments.Collaborating with classroom teachers and related services staff to support individualized education programs (IEPs).Adjusting instructional approaches to accommodate moderate to severe student needs and behaviors.Participating in orientation, training, and related service set-up activities prior to the instructional period.Qualifications and Experience:Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.Experience working with visually impaired students, including those with moderate to severe needs.Commitment to working full ESY schedule and traveling to assigned locations.Reliable transportation and residency within 35 minutes of the assigned school site.Ability to provide a completed TVI supervisor reference and verification of active licensure.Understanding of the PA DOE credentialing timeline and readiness to comply.Additional Requirements:Candidates previously employed with this client through another agency within the past year are ineligible to apply.Submissions must include: full name, city of residence, resume with bullet highlights, licensure proof, and the required supervisor reference.Candidates should be prepared to answer screening questions regarding availability, commuting plans, and experience with student behavior.This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of visually impaired students in a supportive, structured environment. xijylhu Applicants ready to contribute their expertise during the ESY period are encouraged to apply promptly with all required documentation for consideration.
