Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A professional opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide in-person services in school settings located in Elgin, IL. This contract position offers the chance to work across multiple grade levels supporting students with diverse needs, including those with autism.Key Responsibilities:Deliver occupational therapy services to K-5 students, with a primary focus on supporting children with autism.Provide therapy across varying school days and schedules, ensuring consistency and effective treatment plans.Collaborate with school staff and families to support individualized student goals and promote functional skills.Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to school policies and state regulations related to occupational therapy practice.Preferred Qualifications:Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school, healthcare, teletherapy, or home health settings.Ability to work exclusively in-person within the school environment.Comfort with working across multiple school sites and grade levels.Availability for flexible scheduling, including:Four days per week in a K-5 setting (8:15 AM 3:15 PM) supporting primarily students with autism.One additional day in a K-5 setting.Part-time opportunities involving 1.5 days in a middle school (7:15 AM 2:15 PM) and 3.5 days split between K-5 settings.Consideration may be given to experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) for some part-time openings.Location: Elgin, Illinois (with opportunities also in nearby Palatine area)This role is ideal for occupational therapy professionals seeking varied school environments and the chance to impact students developmental progress directly.
