Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A school-based Registered Nurse is needed to support a diverse student population, including both special education and general education students, at a contracted position in Burnsville, MN. This role involves providing direct nursing care on-site, primarily two days per week, with opportunities for increased hours depending on enrollment growth and program needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in school settings and possess the skills necessary to manage medication administration, minor first aid, and health screenings.Key Responsibilities:Provide nursing care for approximately 36 special education students, with potential for additional students as enrollment grows.Assist with general education student health needs two days per week, including medication administration, inhaler use, and minor wound care (e.g., applying Band-Aids).Conduct hearing and vision screenings for all special education students, odd-grade students, and children participating in child find programs.Collaborate with school staff and administration to maintain accurate health records and support student health plans.Educate staff on health-related matters and contribute to health promotion activities within the school community.Desired Qualifications:Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in school nursing or pediatric care.Ability to work effectively in a school environment supporting both special and general education populations.Strong organizational and communication skills to manage health records and coordinate with staff, students, and families.Comfort with on-site work and flexible scheduling to meet the schools needs.Experience conducting hearing and vision screenings is preferred.Location:Burnsville, Minnesota on-site presence required two days per week.This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student health and well-being in a growing school community.
