Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver compassionate, expert care in a dynamic medical-surgical and telemetry environment serving diverse adult and geriatric populations. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a bustling hospital setting focused on acute patient needs such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, pulmonary embolism, and stroke care.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care on med-surg and telemetry units, including advanced skills like cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, chest tube and drain management, PCA pump monitoring, and medication drip administration (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products).Conduct telemetry monitoring and interpret findings each shift in collaboration with the nursing team.Manage patient care in high-acuity situations while maintaining sound clinical judgment and teamwork.Float within the regional facility network as needed based on patient demand, ensuring adaptability across locations.Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and utilize equipment such as Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems.Qualifications & Experience:Current RN license with at least 2 years of medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience; first-time travelers considered, though preference is for experienced candidates.Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.Proficient in advanced med/tele skills including NGT and foley insertion/management, cardiac and stroke care.Ability to work rotating shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a) with every other weekend coverage and holiday expectations.Schedule & Hours:Day and night shifts, 12-hour rotations.Weekend rotation every other week.Holiday work approximately 75% of the time.No call required.Work Environment & Culture:Join a cohesive team recognized for fostering a supportive and "family-like" atmosphere.
