Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide expert critical care nursing in a dynamic Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital environment serving a diverse patient population with complex medical needs. This contract role is based in Macon, GA, at a prominent facility with advanced designations including Chest Pain and Stroke Centers.Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive care in ICU settings, including CCU, MICU, STICU, NICU, CVICU, and Progressive Care Units.Manage patient care with a focus on critical interventions such as tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and PIV starts.Administer and titrate infusions including insulin, heparin, narcotics, paralytics, vasopressors, sedation, and cardiac drips.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, charge nurses, RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, and resource nurses.Utilize technology such as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors to ensure high-quality care.Participate actively in floating assignments across Med/Tele units as needed.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience required; first-time travelers welcome.Valid RN license with current BLS and ACLS certification; CCRN preferred.Ability to pass EKG competency exam during onboarding.Proficient with critical care skills including invasive and non-invasive monitoring and medications.Strong teamwork skills within a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU culture.Schedule:12-hour shifts: 7AM7PM or 7PM7AM.Weekend rotation averaging 56 shifts every 6 weeks.Holiday coverage includes one major holiday shift per holiday period.No on-call required.Paid orientation includes 1 day facility and 2 days unit-specific education.Location Insights:Located in Macon, Georgia, this hospital is set in a city rich with cultural heritage and Southern charm.
