Your advanced clinical expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being in a setting that bridges intensive care and general medical-surgical nursing.Key Responsibilities:Assess patient conditions and develop and implement individualized care plansTreat wounds and provide advanced life support as neededAssist physicians during specialized proceduresMonitor and record vital signs, ensuring accuracy and timely response to changesManage and adjust ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and other critical equipmentAdminister intravenous fluids and medications while performing necessary suctioningCollaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary critical care team to optimize patient outcomesRespond to life-saving situations following established nursing protocolsAdvocate for patients and educate/support their families throughout the recovery processFloat to Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) units based on census needsQualifications:Active Illinois RN or multi-state RN license (must be attached to resume)Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience requiredCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association (must be included in submission)Experience in critical care nursing, preferably within stepdown or LTAC unitsLocation Overview:Cicero, IL, offers a dynamic urban setting with close proximity to Chicagos rich cultural amenities.
