Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A healthcare facility in southeastern South Dakota is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgical Technician for a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This role offers some on-call responsibilities with guaranteed hours, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment working primarily in cardiovascular operating rooms.Location: Tea, SDTea is a growing community known for its friendly atmosphere and convenient access to larger city amenities. It offers a comfortable living environment with local dining, parks, and family-oriented activities, all within reach of regional healthcare centers and transportation routes.Qualifications / Desired Experience:Minimum 3 years of cardiovascular surgical technician experience preferredCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification preferred but not mandatory based on experienceCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification highly desirablePrior experience with heart and endovascular surgical casesAbility to float to main operating rooms as case volume requiresMust have not worked at the facility within the past 6 months if previously employed thereMust badge in and out at the facility and adhere to scrubs policy (Ceil Blue scrubs provided)Responsibilities:Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including heart and endovascular proceduresUtilize equipment and technology specific to cardiovascular ORs; training provided as neededCollaborate with surgical team and participate in team-specific orientation with senior techs for hands-on supportFloat between 5 cardiovascular ORs and 30 main ORs when necessary to accommodate fluctuations in case volumeAdditional Details:This is a contract position with an expected duration of 13 weeksSome on-call duties with guaranteed hoursLocal placements generally within an 80-mile radiusThis is a rewarding opportunity to support critical cardiovascular surgical cases while expanding your expertise within a supportive team environment.
