Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide critical care nursing in a fast-paced, high-acuity Step-Down unit specializing in patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. This role involves managing patients with complex diagnoses such as chest pain, post-kidney transplant care, acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, GI bleeds, pneumonia, myocardial infarction, pulmonary diseaseswith or without mechanical ventilationand post-surgical recovery with comorbidities, including drug and alcohol withdrawal.Key Responsibilities:Deliver direct nursing care to a 14-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding appropriatelyAdminister medications and treatments according to established protocolsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plansPerform routine and specialized procedures pertinent to critical and step-down careEnsure documentation is accurate and compliant with healthcare regulationsMaintain certifications and competency in life support and stroke assessment toolsQualifications & Desired Experience:Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU experience preferredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationsSuccessful completion of a proctored cardiac rhythm testCompetency in National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessmentStrong critical thinking and clinical assessment skillsAbility to work efficiently in a demanding environment with complex patient needsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsLocation: Murfreesboro, TN offers a welcoming community with a balance of suburban comfort and access to metropolitan amenities.
