Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver advanced nursing care as an RN within a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit, specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients. This position is a contract role based in Indianapolis, IN, offering an opportunity to work full-time day shifts while rotating weekends every third weekend.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery cases.Manage patient care with a ratio of 1:3 to 1:4 in a 23-bed Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Use EPIC electronic medical records to document patient care and communicate effectively.Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled.May float to other similar units as needed to support staffing requirements.Qualifications and Experience:Registered Nurse (RN) license required.Minimum 2 years of experience in a related Stepdown or Progressive Care nursing role.BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.Experience with EPIC EMR system is highly valued.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment with cardiovascular and surgical patients.Work Schedule:Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.Weekend rotations every third weekend, including holidays.Location Insight:Indianapolis stands as an energetic city blending rich history with vibrant culture, excellent dining, and entertainment options.
