Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide expert emergency nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting located in New Braunfels, TX. This contract role is ideal for an RN with at least two years of Emergency Room (ER) experience who holds an active Texas RN license and certifications in PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS. Candidates with additional certifications such as CEN and familiarity with Meditech documentation will be highly preferred.Location OverviewNew Braunfels is a vibrant city known for its rich German heritage and scenic beauty along the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. It offers a welcoming community environment, diverse dining, shopping, and recreational options, making it an excellent place for healthcare professionals to live and work.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive emergency care including conscious sedation, participation in intubations, and behavioral health monitoring.Manage acute conditions such as sepsis, stroke (including TPA administration), and chest pain alerts.Adhere to strict documentation standards using Meditech electronic health records.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care and effective communication.Comply with floating policies and support unit staffing flexibility.Qualifications/Desired ExperienceActive Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted).Minimum 2 years recent ER nursing experience.Current certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS.Preferred: CEN certification, Meditech experience, strong teamwork and communication skills.Shift Details12.5-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM7:30 PM or 7:00 PM7:30 AM.Every other weekend required.36 guaranteed hours per week.13-week assignment length.Call requirements applicable.Professional Standards and Dress CodeNavy scrubs for RNs; undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only.Nails clean, natural length, no acrylic or chipped polish.Hair off shoulders, natural color.Tattoos to be covered when possible; visible non-ear piercings prohibited.This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped hospital environment committed to patient-centered care.
