Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide specialized care for medical-surgical (MS) patients in a dynamic hospital setting with opportunities for critical response in the emergency department (ED). This role requires adaptability and teamwork as two RNs collaboratively manage MS patient care and quickly shift focus to the ED when acute cases arise. Ideal candidates will have proven medical-surgical nursing experience and the ability to respond confidently in emergency situations.Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, monitoring and managing treatment plans.Respond promptly to ED patient arrivals by temporarily transitioning to emergency care duties.Collaborate closely with fellow RN to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.Participate in a rotating holiday schedule, contributing to coverage during essential periods.Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.Desired Experience:Current and valid RN licensure.Solid background in medical-surgical nursing (RN-MS).Experience working in acute care or hospital settings preferred.Ability to manage multiple patient care priorities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Location:Situated in Dubuque, Iowa, this position benefits from a community known for its scenic riverfront, vibrant arts scene, and welcoming neighborhoods.
