Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a dynamic medical-surgical environment, focusing on pre- and post-operative needs. This role requires keen assessment skills, prompt response to changes in patient conditions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize recovery and comfort.Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized nursing care including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and plan of care initiation upon admission.Manage multiple nursing tasks efficiently, adapting quickly to changing patient needs.Exercise independent judgment in clinical decision-making based on measurable criteria.Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate empathy to support patients experiencing pain, grief, or trauma.Communicate effectively with patients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and collaborate with healthcare team members.Support hospital policies, participate in continuing education including DNV program requirements, and assist in multiple departments as needed.Desired Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN and MSN degrees preferred.Current Oregon RN license with evidence of appropriate continuing education.Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred.Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing and CRASE training preferred; CRASE required if assignment exceeds 6 months.Location Insight:Situated in the scenic region of Irrigon, OR, this location offers a welcoming community and access to beautiful natural surroundings along the Columbia River.
