Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise to provide exceptional care on a primarily Medical-Surgical unit with tele monitoring capabilities. This night shift role offers a schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM every other week, with holiday coverage and required float across all health system facilities as needed.Location:This position is based in Kernersville, NC, a vibrant community known for its welcoming atmosphere and convenient access to larger urban centers. With a balance of suburban comfort and cultural amenities, Kernersville provides an ideal living environment for healthcare professionals looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying quality of life.Responsibilities:Deliver direct nursing care to a diverse patient population including observation, respiratory, medical-surgical, surgical observation, palliative, end of life, hospice, psychiatric observation, and diabetic patients.Utilize Electronic Health Records (EPIC) to document patient care effectively.Perform EKG monitoring and successfully pass a required EKG proficiency exam as part of onboarding.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.Adhere to a strict policy on punctuality and attendance, with flexibility to float between facilities as needed.Support charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with previous charge nurse experience preferred.Qualifications/Desired Experience:Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.Valid BLS certification.First-time travelers are encouraged to apply.Ability to pass the required Pass/Fail EKG exam.Flexibility to work nights and float across multiple facilities.Strong communication and organizational skills.Additional Information:This position is a contract opportunity that offers exposure to a dynamic healthcare environment.
