Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity is for a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in Stepdown and critical care to provide expert patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. The role focuses on managing patients recovering from serious medical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, respiratory distress, and severe trauma. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality care and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.Key responsibilities include assessing and implementing individualized care plans, administering intravenous fluids and medications, adjusting ventilator and IABP settings, assisting physicians during procedures, and responding to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols. This role also involves educating and supporting patients families and advocating for patient needs. Flexibility to float to Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) units based on census is required.Qualifications and Experience:Valid Illinois RN or multi-state RN license (must be attached with submission)Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be attached)Proven experience with ventilator and tracheostomy careExperience in a stepdown or critical care nursing roleStrong clinical judgment and exceptional communication skillsLocation:Elgin, IL offers a welcoming community with a blend of urban amenities and suburban comfort.
