Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide specialized care in a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a Level I Trauma and Magnet-designated hospital known for its teaching and advanced medical services. This contract position offers a structured schedule of three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) with every other weekend and holiday rotation, allowing for a consistent work-life rhythm alongside competitive professional challenges.Key Responsibilities:Deliver patient-centered nursing care to pre- and post-operative transplant patients, nephrology, and urology populations.Utilize central and bedside monitoring systems to closely observe patient status and promptly respond to changes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and implement individualized care plans.Float within clinical scope to support facility needs dynamically.Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.Adhere to hospital policies and standards for patient safety and quality outcomes during hurricane season emergency readiness as required.Qualifications:Active South Carolina RN license or Compact Multistate RN license.Current ACLS and BLS certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).Minimum one year of recent nursing experience preferred; first-time PCU nurses welcome.Flexibility to work every other weekend and holidays on rotation.Ability to accommodate manager-approved block scheduling and local travel within a 60-mile radius.Location Highlights:Situated in vibrant North Charleston, the hospital offers access to rich coastal culture, historic sites, and modern amenities.
