Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A registered nurse with Emergency Department expertise and travel experience is sought to provide exceptional care in a dynamic setting. This contract role is based in Canastota, NY, serving a 64-bed unit that includes acute, trauma, psych, and specialty care areas. The shift is 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM with floating duties and a high preference for charge RN capability.Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics, including those with stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.Administer complex medication drips such as pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi), vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, and critical infusions.Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced emergency environment.Provide flexible support through floating assignments.Maintain meticulous documentation in the EMR system (EPIC).Qualifications and Desired Experience:Active New York Registered Nurse license verified through NURSYS.Minimum of 2 years experience in Emergency Department nursing, including some pediatric experience.Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.Proven travel nurse experience with documentation.Two recent references from ED Charge or Manager RNs.Valid drivers license matching demographic records.Ability and willingness to float within the unit.Experience with EPIC EMR required.Location Overview:Canastota, NY offers a welcoming community environment with convenient access to natural parks, cultural activities, and essential amenities.
