This contract opportunity calls for a skilled RN with CVOR experience to ensure optimal patient outcomes through meticulous preparation, sterile technique, and teamwork in various surgical specialties.Key Responsibilities:Employ accepted technical practices across diverse operating room specialty service areas.Maintain, assemble, handle, and sterilize specialty instrumentation following aseptic techniques.Proactively identify and correct breaks in sterile technique and manage surgical counts accurately.Establish and sustain sterile fields independently while supporting the surgical team.Label drugs and solutions; monitor usage and assist in handling and labeling surgical specimens.Organize and prepare instruments, supplies, and surgical drapes for efficient access during procedures.Support surgeons by understanding patient anatomy and assisting with patient positioning.Review physician preference lists and ensure appropriate case preparation and instrument needs.Mentor peers, serve as a resource during orientation and ongoing evaluations, and participate in staff training.Assist with restocking supplies, managing equipment, performing emergency cart maintenance, and operating complex OR equipment.Support intraoperative nursing care under the guidance of an RN and contribute to clinical research data collection.Desired Experience:Current RN license with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience.Proficient in aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation handling.Strong knowledge of sterile processing, surgical counts, and OR emergency protocols.Ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with surgical teams.Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in the surgical environment is a plus.Location Highlights:Apex, NC, is a vibrant community known for its welcoming atmosphere, excellent quality of life, and proximity to larger metropolitan areas offering cultural and recreational opportunities.
