Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide specialized nursing care in a progressive care unit (PCU) setting focused on transplant and nephrology patients in a comprehensive Level I Trauma Center. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, supporting both pre- and post-operative transplant patients as well as medical-surgical cases within a teaching hospital known for its Magnet status and advanced healthcare practices.Location: Goose Creek, SCThis vibrant area offers a welcoming community close to coastal attractions and urban conveniences. The hospital is situated within commuting distance for professionals across the region, with a parking garage available on-site for ease of access.Schedule & Hours:3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m.)Every other weekend and holiday rotation requiredResponsibilities:Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients, specializing in transplant and nephrology populationsMonitor and assess patient conditions using central and bedside monitoring systemsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient careFloat within clinical scope to accommodate unit needs and staffing demandsMaintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic chartingQualifications & Desired Experience:Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN licenseMinimum 1 year recent experience in a step-down or related nursing roleAmerican Heart Association certifications in ACLS and BLS requiredFirst-time travelers accepted and block scheduling available with management approvalBenefits & Perks:Work within a renowned Level I Trauma, Magnet accredited teaching hospitalSupportive environment with a focus on specialized progressive care nursingParking permit available via hospital parking management with a nominal feePotential flexibility in scheduling upon approvalAdditional Information:This contract position may include emergency response duties during the hurricane season (June through November).
