Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An opportunity is available for experienced critical care registered nurses specializing in cardiovascular intensive care. This fast-paced unit cares for some of the most critically ill patients in the region, including those recovering from cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery, as well as patients requiring advanced life support measures such as ECMO.Location:The position is based in Antioch, TN, a vibrant community known for its Southern hospitality and growing healthcare industry. Antioch offers a balanced lifestyle with affordable living, easy access to nature, and proximity to the cultural attractions of a larger metropolitan area.Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with cardiac and neurological conditions.Manage patients post-cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post ventricular assist device placement.Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms; successfully complete proctored rhythm testing.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Provide support for adolescent to late adult patients, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.Qualifications:Current RN licensure with experience in cardiovascular ICU.Valid certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale.Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment.Strong clinical skills in managing advanced cardiac and neuro patients.Additional Details:Unit capacity: 15 beds.Patient age range: 14 to 60+ years.Staffing model includes Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians.This is a contract position ideal for nurses seeking to expand their critical care expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment. xijylhu Interested candidates who meet the qualifications are encouraged to submit an application for consideration.
