The role supports a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital known for its specialized centers, including Chest Pain and Stroke, with 874 licensed beds. This contract position is ideal for nurses with a minimum of two years Med/Tele RN experience eager to contribute to a versatile and compassionate care team.Location Overview:Situated in Concord, NC, this healthcare role offers a vibrant community rich with southern charm and modern amenities. Concord is known for its family-friendly environment, robust healthcare sector, and convenient access to metropolitan areas, providing the perfect balance of professional and personal life.Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care on the ADTU and Satellite units, supporting patients primarily with respiratory, cardiac, and trauma-related diagnoses including COPD, CHF exacerbation, pneumonia, stroke, and more.Execute advanced clinical skills such as cardiac rhythm interpretation, tracheostomy care, PIV starts, chest tube and drain management, and administer medication drips including cardiac and heparin.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, secretaries, charge nurses, and resource nurses ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient unit operation.Monitor patient telemetry using provided equipment, conducting shift telemetry interpretations to guide care plans.Float within designated regional facilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.Qualifications:Current RN license with Med/Tele nursing expertise.Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.At least 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience; first-time travelers may be considered.Proficiency in Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors.Ability to work weekend rotations and holidays (75% coverage).Schedule:12-hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7p-7a.Weekend rotation every other week.Up to 6 days off approved excluding holidays.Benefits & Perks:Free parking on-site.Supportive and family-like unit culture.Paid floating time between facilities.Departmental new employee orientation.This contract role offers the chance to work in a technologically advanced, fast-paced setting while honing diverse nursing skills among a multidisciplinary team.
