Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to adult patients undergoing surgical procedures in a dynamic Medical-Surgical role. This position involves comprehensive assessment, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal recovery and patient well-being. Adaptability is key, as this role requires shifting between diverse tasks with efficiency and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Deliver individualized nursing care pre- and post-surgery while adhering to established care plans.Initiate and update computerized Plans of Care upon patient admission.Monitor patient conditions, promptly responding to changes and treatment responses.Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate empathy to those experiencing pain or trauma.Communicate therapeutically across diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.Support teamwork and effective collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Participate in hospital mission-driven activities and ongoing education programs.Flexibly provide care across departments where qualified and contribute to guest relations efforts.Qualifications and Experience:Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN/MSN preferred).Current Oregon RN license with evidence of continuing education relevant to practice.Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; CMSRN certification preferred.Prior Medical-Surgical nursing experience highly desirable.CRASE training required for assignments extending beyond six months.Location Insight:Located in Hermiston, Oregon, this opportunity offers a rewarding healthcare environment in a vibrant, growing community.
