Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver high-quality nursing care on a medical-surgical unit supporting adult patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures and acute conditions. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic work environment where you will apply your clinical skills while working with specialty equipment such as IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes. Floating between units may be required, allowing for diverse clinical experiences.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical adult patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and obesity.Manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC EMR.Flexibly float to other units as assigned to support patient care needs.Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and professional standards.Qualifications & Experience:Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.Proven travel nursing experience is required.Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.Drivers license with address consistent with demographic requirements.Skills checklist verifying matching specialty competencies.Submission of Nursing System Licensure Verification (NURSYS) report and Return to Office (RTO) documentation upon application.Schedule:Evening shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.Block scheduling is not guaranteed.Location Highlights:Situated less than 75 miles from the candidates residence, this role offers the chance to work in Rome, NYa community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere.
