Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A skilled Registered Nurse with ICU expertise is needed for a contract opportunity located in Canastota, NY. This position offers a 36-hour guarantee with local pay rates for candidates within 75 miles. The ICU unit has 42 beds spanning Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma specialties, managing critical patients with diagnoses such as strokes, sepsis, cardiogenic shock, trauma, and major post-op cases.Qualifications & Desired Experience:Active NY RN license with all other RN licenses current and verified through NURSYSMinimum 2+ years ICU experience in any of the following: ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICUDocumented travel nursing experience preferredCurrent AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certificationProficient with EPIC EMR systemExperience with CRRT and Prismaflex required; heart experience highly preferredCharge nurse inpatient experience a plusValid drivers license with address matching demographicsInclude reliable return-to-work availability with submissionResponsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care in a 42-bed ICU covering Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma unitsManage specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (Prisma or NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM devices like the Arctic SunFloat to other units as needed, excluding Behavioral and ER unless holdingWork 6:30 pm to 7:00 am shifts; block scheduling is not guaranteedLocation Insights:Positioned in Canastota, NY, this opportunity offers access to a community known for its small-town charm and convenient access to larger cities.
