The position plays a critical role in preparing the surgical suite, ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are ready and functional for each procedure. Working closely with the surgeon, you will provide essential intraoperative support including exposure, hemostasis, suturing, tissue handling, and applying appropriate dressings to facilitate successful surgical outcomes. Collaboration with the operating room team is key in delivering safe, efficient patient care.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and operative techniques pertinent to the assigned cases.Ensure all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are opened, available, and properly accounted for.Assist the surgeon with positioning, draping, retracting, suctioning, sponging, cautery techniques, stapling devices, and suturing.Support team members with patient transportation, positioning, and comprehensive care during surgery.Desired Experience and Qualifications:Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with operating room experience.Certified Surgical Technologist credential preferred.Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile technique.Ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary surgical teams.Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.Location:This role is based in Saginaw, Michigan, offering an engaging healthcare environment in the heart of a vibrant community.
