Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide advanced nursing care in a medical-surgical (MS) unit focused on adult patients recovering from various post-surgical conditions. This contract position requires strong clinical skills, adaptability to a floating schedule, and expertise in managing specialty equipment such as IV pumps, feeding tubes, and NG tubes.Location:Based in Oneida, NY, this role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established healthcare environment serving a diverse adult patient population. Oneida is a welcoming community known for its blend of small-town charm and access to outdoor recreational activities, providing a balanced lifestyle.Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients recovering from surgeries involving abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery.Utilize specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric (NG) tubes, and feeding tubes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC EMR systems.Float between units as required to meet patient care demands.Adhere to infection control and patient safety guidelines.Desired Experience and Qualifications:Active NY RN license along with all active RN licenses, verified by NURSYS report.Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, demonstrating travel nurse experience.Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Proven proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.Valid drivers license with an address matching your demographics.Completed Return to Origin (RTO) documentation included at time of submission.Willingness to work a 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift with floating as necessary.Additional Information:Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive the local rate.Scrub color for the unit is navy blue.Block scheduling is not guaranteed, and flexibility is essential.This contract opportunity starts April 6.
