MRI Technician - PRNLocation: Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FloridaEmployer: US Got People (USGP)Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.USGP is currently seeking a skilled MRI Technician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our military service members, veterans, and their families at the Radiology Department of Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL.Position BenefitsCompetitive Pay: $51.09/hourWork Schedule: Will normally be Saturdays, Sundays and the following holidays: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans DayShift times: Shifts are required 2x a day between the hours of 7am - 4pm and 3pm-12am.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)Certifications:Certified in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red CrossExperience: Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience within the past 3 yearsImmunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza (flu) vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)Primary ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:Perform a full range of MRI procedures as ordered by healthcare providersPrepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety during imagingAccurately position patients and make necessary technical adjustments as directed by the radiologistConduct daily equipment warm-ups and quality control tests following manufacturer guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and functionality of MRI equipment in accordance with departmental protocolsMonitor supply levels and recommend repairs or service when image quality is compromisedIdentify and differentiate between image artifacts and true pathologyMake minor adjustments to imaging equipment and ensure correct programming and scanning techniquesStay informed on the latest MRI technology trends and practices; share recommendations for departmental improvementsBe prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including cardiac or respiratory arrest, by initiating appropriate resuscitative measuresWhy Work with USGP?At USGP, we are dedicated to supporting our nation's military community.
