This role will play a key part in preconstruction and bid development, working closely with operations to secure new work.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for drywall, framing, and interiors packagesReview plans, specifications, and bid documentsPerform quantity take-offs and material pricingSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotesDevelop and submit competitive bid proposalsWork closely with project managers and leadership on bid strategyAttend pre-bid meetings and liaise with clients and GCsMaintain accurate records of estimates and historical cost dataRequirements2+ years' experience in construction estimatingExperience working on commercial construction projectsStrong understanding of:Take-offsPricing and cost analysisConstruction drawings and specificationsStrong numerical and analytical skillsProficient in Excel and estimating softwareHighly DesirableExperience estimating drywall, metal framing, and acoustical xijylhu ceilingsBackground with a subcontractor or interiors contractorFamiliarity with tools such as:On-Screen Takeoff (OST)QuickBidBluebeam RevuKnowledge of Boston / New England construction marketBenefitsCompetitive salary + bonus401(k) with company matchHealthcare, dental & visionESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)PTO + holidaysClear progression into Senior Estimator / Preconstruction roles
