We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to serve as a strategic financial leader and trusted advisor to our partners and executive team.This role requires more than financial oversight "” it demands a leader who can translate complex financial data into clear, confident guidance for ownership. The CFO will oversee cash flow strategy, forecasting, and financial planning while ensuring accurate, timely reporting across a multi-state operation. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of privately owned partnerships and can both manage the numbers and clearly articulate what they mean.This is an in-office leadership role based in Raleigh, NC, with direct responsibility for mentoring and elevating an established finance team. We don't want you to "fit" our culture we want you to "add" to it!Key ResponsibilitiesServe as strategic financial partner to ownership, clearly explaining financial performance, risks, and projectionsTranslate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership and partnersLead preparation and presentation of financial statements, including detailed cash flow statementsDevelop and oversee short- and long-term financial forecasting modelsDrive annual budgeting processes and ongoing financial planningManage multi-state financial operations and compliance considerationsProvide oversight of tax strategy and coordination with external tax advisorsEnsure government compliance and risk management best practicesLead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, including Finance Manager and FP&A leadershipEstablish accountability, urgency, and performance standards within the accounting functionStrengthen financial reporting accuracy and improve clarity of internal financial dataWork closely with the CEO to understand business nuances and proactively drive financial strategySupport partner-level financial reporting, including calculations, allocations, and performance analysisOversee internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial systemsRequirementsPreviously served as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a company generating $200M+ in annual revenue (Director-level experience alone will not be considered)Experience working within a privately held company or partnership structureStrong cash flow management and forecasting expertiseExperience leading and developing direct reports within finance and accountingMulti-state operational experienceWorking knowledge of tax strategy and complianceAbility to operate in-office full time in Raleigh, NC (relocation required if not local)Construction industry experience preferred but not requiredBenefitsMedical Plans401(k) & 401(k) matchingDental insuranceVision insuranceEmployeeassistanceprogramLife insuranceAccrued Paid time offCheck out our Careers page for employee testimonials!
