Job Description

We're hiring an Electrical Estimator for a Houston-based electrical contractor with more than three decades of experience supporting commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. The company provides commercial construction, design-build services, industrial electrical work, and 24/7 maintenance and emergency response.Their team is licensed, certified, and known for delivering reliable, safe, and compliant solutions. Clients value their ability to complete projects on schedule while maintaining high safety standards and scalable support across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, hospitality, and public facilities.ResponsibilitiesReview electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed estimatesPerform quantity take-offs for materials, equipment, and labor requirementsAnalyze project scope, schedule, and technical requirements to ensure accurate pricingObtain pricing from vendors and suppliers for materials and equipmentPrepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentationCollaborate with project managers and field teams to transition awarded projectsMaintain and update estimating databases, templates, and pricing standardsIdentify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternativesAttend pre-bid meetings and job site visits as requiredStay current on industry trends, code requirements, and market pricingWhat We're Looking For3+ years of experience as an electrical estimator (commercial or industrial preferred)Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and xijylhu construction practicesProficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsStrong math, analytical, and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or on a teamJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offRelocation assistanceVision insuranceWork Location: In person
