This role requires advanced welding and metal-fabrication skills, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work within operations that include hazardous materials, confined spaces, and process-safety protocols..Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certificate preferred2+ years sheet metal welding and fabrication experience (chemical or industrial manufacturing environment strongly preferred)MIG/TIG proficiency; AWS certification preferredAbility to read fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and plant schematicsValid site-specific safety training preferredAbility to safely operate shop equipment (shears, press brake, rollers, saws, grinders, etc.)Knowledge of corrosion-resistant metals and welding procedures suitable for chemical exposure environmentsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in industrial conditions (heights, confined spaces, varying temperatures)Responsibilities:Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and job specificationsFabricate, weld, install, and repair sheet metal systems, ductwork, hoods, guards, platforms, and equipment componentsPerform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and specialty alloys commonly used in chemical plant applicationsCut, bend, roll, and shape sheet metal using fabrication machinery and hand toolsConduct hot-work in accordance with plant permit systems and fire-watch requirementsPrepare surfaces and complete welding and fabrication tasks with precisionInspect completed welds and fabrications to ensure compliance with standards and tolerancesAdhere to chemical plant safety standards, xijylhu including lock-out/tag-out, respiratory protection, hot-work permitting, confined-space entry, and hazard communicationMaintain housekeeping standards and ensure safe handling of materials and toolsWork collaboratively with maintenance, reliability, and operations personnelDocument work performed and report issues promptlyMaintaining welding equipment and toolsEnsuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safetyCollaborating with other members of the team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budgetSkills:Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong safety mindset and adherence to process-safety rulesPrecision welding and fabrication abilitiesProblem-solving and troubleshooting skillsEffective communication and teamworkAbility to follow detailed procedures and maintain documentationMUST BE ABLE TO WELD SS AND CARBONBE SURE TO APPLY ON OUR WEBSITE:
