The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with labor regulations, administer employee benefits, maintain accurate payroll records while leading a small team. This position requires the candidate to be on-site, Monday - Friday in Long Island City, Queens. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, year-end discretionary bonus, coverage for 90% of health insurance premiums, parking on-premises, and more.Qualifications:5+ years of payroll experience with labor unions and collective bargaining agreements (required)Extremely detail-orientedStrong reporting and auditing skillsExperience in team management and leadershipExperience with CMiC construction software (preferred)Experience with Sage Timberline (preferred)Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to the construction industryAdminister employee benefits and handle related inquiriesOversee and optimize timekeeping systems to ensure accurate tracking of hours workedUtilize payroll software to process payroll accurately and efficientlyStay updated on tax regulations to ensure compliance and reporting accuracyPerform data entry and maintain payroll records to ensure accuracy and confidentialityGenerate and analyze payroll reports to provide insights and support decision-makingConduct audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulationsCommunicate effectively with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and issuesSolve payroll-related problems and provide solutions in a timely mannerLead and manage the payroll team, ensuring effective performance and developmentConduct W-2 filingsThe above description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements associated with the Payroll Manager position.
