(MCI) is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead engineering efforts on a construction project in Sacramento, CA. This role is critical to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications.The Project Engineer will serve as a key representative of Mountain Cascade, working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, engineers, and the Owner to deliver a high-quality project.Key Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):Project Engineering LeadershipServe as Mountain Cascade's on-site representative, professionally interacting with all project stakeholdersPlan, direct, and coordinate all field engineering activities for the projectEnsure project goals are achieved within established schedules and budgetsSupport company strategic initiatives related to construction methods, productivity, quality, and safetySafety ManagementEnforce Mountain Cascade, Inc.'s Safety Policy and applicable OSHA requirementsHold subcontractors accountable to all safety standardsDocument safety meetings, inspections, incidents, and training activitiesCoordinate with OSHA representatives on-site as neededPre-Construction & Job SetupReview job files, drawings, specifications, subcontractor and supplier quotesPrepare condensed specification summaries highlighting non-standard requirementsCoordinate contract execution with internal insurance and contracts teamsCollaborate with Scheduling to align project schedules with company and Owner requirementsOrganize and lead Pre-Construction MeetingsPrepare initial project documentation, including:Construction scheduleSubcontractor and representative listsSubmittal and shop drawing schedulesSchedule of values and paymentsProject Execution & CoordinationDevelop and manage site logistics and staging plansRequest and coordinate shoring designs, traffic control plans, SWPPP, and required submittalsIssue purchase orders and subcontracts for job-start materials and servicesCoordinate material deliveries, labor, and subcontractor activitiesMaintain daily communication to ensure timely procurement and executionSupport project closeout activities, including:Punch list developmentFinal walkthroughsRecord drawings, as-builts, O&M manualsTeam Leadership & Personnel SupportProvide indirect supervision and support to Project Management staffParticipate in hiring, retention, coaching, and performance evaluationsServe as a team leader and interpreter of company policiesMentor staff and support professional developmentProactively resolve team issues and escalate to management as neededQualifications10+ years of construction experience xijylhu Experience working on heavy civil construction, pipelines, sewage, water treatment plants, and water storage projectsExperience working for a contractor as a Field Project EngineerBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Construction Management (BSCM) preferredStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsCertifications & LicensesValid driver's licenseFirst Aid and CPR certificationCompetent Person trainingPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work in active construction environmentsRegular lifting up to 10 lbs; frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbsAbility to work in outdoor conditions and noisy environmentsWork EnvironmentFrequent exposure to construction equipment, moving machinery, heights, and outdoor weatherOccasional exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature extremes, and electrical hazardsHow to Apply?Please send your resume to:
