Estimator - Industrial ConstructionGreen Key Resources is partnered with a well-established general contractor specializing in industrial construction to identify an Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team.Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.This role supports the full estimating lifecycle, from opportunity review through proposal submission and project handoff. The Estimator will collaborate with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors to develop accurate cost estimates and support preconstruction planning for industrial projects.This is a strong opportunity for professionals with industrial construction or field experience who want to grow their careers in estimating while working on complex, high-impact projects. The organization is also an employee-owned company (ESOP), giving employees the opportunity to share in the long-term success of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesPreconstruction & EstimatingReview RFQs and assist with bid/no-bid evaluationsCompile project documentation and maintain communication with clients, vendors, and subcontractorsDevelop preliminary cost estimates and support risk assessmentsEstimate DevelopmentReview construction drawings and specificationsAttend bid meetings and participate in jobsite walkthroughsPerform quantity takeoffs and develop work breakdown structuresPrepare subcontractor and vendor bid packages and evaluate pricingCompile estimates using internal estimating tools and methodologiesCoordinate with project teams to validate labor productivity, equipment pricing, and schedule assumptionsPrepare and submit proposal packages and support negotiations through project awardProject SupportTransfer awarded estimates to project execution teamsSupport project teams with change order pricing and estimate revisions as neededQualifications xijylhu Candidates should meet one of the following:5+ years of on-site experience in concrete, structural steel, process piping, boiler work, millwright, or electrical disciplinesOR5+ years supporting project management or project engineering with experience in cost control, scheduling, or change managementTechnical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe/BluebeamExperience with estimating or project management software preferredStrong understanding of construction methods and materialsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
