Project Manager - Commercial ConstructionIf your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.Position SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role supports project planning, coordinates with field and office teams, manages subcontractors, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Coordination • Manage assigned commercial construction projects through all phases of construction • Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and work plans • Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure alignment between field operations and project goals • Track project progress and proactively address issues that impact schedule or cost Financial Management • Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking • Manage subcontractor pay applications, invoices, and lien waivers • Prepare and track change orders and maintain accurate cost records • Support efforts to maintain or improve project profitability Client & Stakeholder Communication • Support client relationships through consistent communication and responsiveness • Participate in project meetings with clients, architects, and consultants • Provide regular updates on project status, including schedule, budget, and risks Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination • Assist in subcontractor procurement and scope review • Coordinate subcontractor work and ensure adherence to project requirements • Help resolve field and contract-related issues with trade partners Documentation & Compliance • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and change orders • Ensure all project records are accurate and up to date • Maintain compliance with contract requirements, codes, and regulations Schedule & Quality Support • Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays • Support quality control processes and ensure work meets specifications • Coordinate inspections and project closeout activities Safety & Risk Awareness • Promote and support jobsite safety initiatives • Assist in identifying project risks and escalating issues as needed • Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures QualificationsEducation • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) Experience • 3-8+ years of experience in commercial construction project management or related role • Experience working on ground-up or major renovation commercial projects • Familiarity with multiple xijylhu project types (e.g., office, retail, healthcare, industrial) is a plus Skills & Competencies • Strong organizational and time management skills • Effective communication and teamwork abilities • Working knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and project delivery • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Adherence to project schedules and milestones • Accuracy of project documentation and reporting • Cost control and budget tracking effectiveness • Responsiveness to clients and internal teams • Contribution to overall project success and profitability Work Environment • Combination of office and active construction site environments • Occasional travel to job sites as needed • Fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
