We construct unique, complex, and challenging projects for our clients throughout the west.Position OverviewThe Civil Construction Superintendent is the on-site leader responsible for driving project execution from start to finish. This individual is fully accountable for schedule performance, field coordination, quality control, and compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in heavy civil environments, maintains high standards of safety and workmanship, and takes ownership of delivering successful projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & LeadershipLead all on-site construction activities and daily field operationsMaintain full accountability for timely project completionCoordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and consultantsConduct pre-construction and weekly subcontractor coordination meetingsProvide direction, resolve conflicts, and maintain productivity across tradesScheduling & DocumentationDevelop and manage project schedules using Microsoft ProjectSchedule subcontractors within the critical path to ensure timely completionMaintain daily jobsite logs documenting progress and activitiesManage submittals, track approvals, and maintain organized jobsite recordsCommunicate effectively regarding RFIs, ASIs, and material submittalsQuality Control & ComplianceEnsure all work complies with approved plans, specifications, and local codesIdentify and resolve constructability issues before executionPerform ongoing quality control inspectionsIssue notices of non-compliance when requiredDevelop and manage punch lists to ensure proper project closeoutSafety & Regulatory CoordinationEnforce Prospect Construction's Safety and Health policiesMonitor jobsite safety, health, and environmental complianceEnsure subcontractors comply with contractual scope and safety requirementsCoordinate required inspections with local jurisdictionsAssist in obtaining xijylhu permits and approvals as neededPreconstruction & SupportAssist in budgeting, bidding, estimating, and subcontract awardsSupport contract administration and project cost awarenessQualificationsMinimum 5 years of verifiable heavy civil construction experienceProficiency in Microsoft Project (required)Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Estimating experience preferredStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and safety regulationsProven leadership and subcontractor management experienceExperience in planning, negotiations, and contract administrationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to identify deficient work and drive resolutionPhysical RequirementsAbility to safely lift up to 75lbsAbility to traverse the entire jobsite, including stairs and elevated structures
