Position: Construction Assistant Project ManagerLearn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.Location: On-Site (Travel as Needed)OverviewA growing construction team is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to help manage project financials, coordination, and overall execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager in overseeing project financials, risk management, and client communication throughout the project lifecycleCollaborate with Superintendents, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project executionMaintain and organize project documentation, ensuring accurate and timely flow of informationAssist in developing and updating project schedulesHelp prepare and issue subcontracts and support buyout activitiesCoordinate subcontractors and assist with day-to-day field operationsParticipate in quality control efforts, including site observations and documentationAssist with project closeout processes, including final documentation and reportingConduct site safety walks and promote adherence to safety standards and best practicesUtilize project management and scheduling software consistently and accuratelyAttend team meetings, trainings, and industry-related events as neededProvide additional project support as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred2+ years of experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industryBasic understanding of construction processes, scheduling, contract administration, and budgetingFamiliarity with job site safety standards and proceduresExperience with tools such as Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication and teamwork skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-starter with a proactive xijylhu and dependable work styleWork Environment & Physical RequirementsRegularly required to walk job sites, climb stairs, sit, and stand for extended periodsAbility to lift or move up to 50 lbs as neededExposure to active construction environments, including varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and moving equipmentMust be comfortable working in conditions that may include loud noise, temperature changes, and outdoor elementsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation with bonus potential401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and company holidaysLife insuranceEmployment Type: Full-Time
