Job Title: Assistant SuperintendentPlease make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.Industry: ConstructionReports To: Project Superintendent / Senior SuperintendentPosition SummaryThe Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in managing daily field operations to ensure construction projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience in steel erection, wood framing, and concrete construction, along with the ability to coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety compliance, and assist with schedule management.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Superintendent in overseeing all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeoutCoordinate and supervise subcontractors performing structural steel, wood framing, and concrete work to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and scheduleMonitor daily work progress and help maintain short-term and long-term project schedulesConduct daily site walks to verify workmanship, safety compliance, and productivity levelsAssist in planning and sequencing of structural activities including concrete pours, steel erection, and framing installationReview drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts and communicate issues to the Superintendent and Project Management teamMaintain accurate daily reports, including manpower, equipment, weather, and work completedSupport implementation and enforcement of site safety programs, including participation in toolbox talks and safety auditsCoordinate material deliveries, staging, and site logistics to maintain workflow and prevent delaysAssist in punch list development and project closeout activitiesRequired Qualifications3+ years of field experience in commercial or industrial constructionDemonstrated experience working with:Structural steel installationWood framing systemsCast-in-place xijylhu and/or precast concreteAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, structural plans, and specificationsWorking knowledge of construction sequencing, means and methods, and jobsite safety standardsStrong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tradesPreferred QualificationsExperience on ground-up commercial or multi-story projectsFamiliarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft ProjectOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationAssociate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
