Superintendent - NYCHA Projects/ Affordable HousingLocation: Brooklyn, NYCompensation Range: $190,000 - $270,000 Base SalaryRead on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.OverviewA well established real estate development and construction organization is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead largescale affordable housing projects in New York City, including one of NYCHA's largest contracts to date. This role is ideal for an assertive field leader who thrives in fast paced environments, values collaboration, and consistently delivers high quality projects safely, on time, and within scope.The Sr Superintendent will oversee daily field operations, coordinate trade partners, and ensure construction is executed in accordance with project documents, schedules, and regulatory requirements.What You'll DoLead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.Manage project schedules in coordination with the project team and trade partners.Oversee quality control programs to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to maintain workflow and productivity.Monitor safety compliance and address non-conforming conditions proactively.Track daily progress using project management software and reporting tools.Identify conflicts in scope, schedule, or field conditions and collaborate on resolutions.Review drawings and documents to understand design intent and flag constructability issues.Manage inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities.Lead regular coordination meetings with trade partners and internal stakeholders.Ensure manpower, materials, equipment, and site logistics support the construction plan.Support project planning, closeout documentation, and post-completion activities as needed.What We're Looking ForNYC Licensed Superintendent (DOB).10+ years of superintendent experience on complex residential or mixed-use projects.Background in interior renovation, affordable housing, or large-scale residential construction preferred.Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and safety standards.Familiarity with union, non-union, and prevailing wage environments.Ability to interpret construction documents, safety plans, and project schedules.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Comfortable managing large trade teams and coordinating multi-discipline scopes.Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations.Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and multitask in the field.PreferredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $190,000 - $270,000, depending on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) with employer contributions and financial wellness programs.Paid time off, holidays, and sick leave.Training, certification, and education reimbursement. xijylhu Employee referral and wellness programs.
