If you're looking for a role where you can produce a successful project from beginning to end, this is the job for you.ResponsibilitiesBuild strong, collaborative partnerships with external vendors and subcontractors to negotiate agreements that drive long-term successRespond to property damage emergency calls when requiredEnsure teams work to follow all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any safety regulation issuesCalculate the budget for all project tasks and accurately manage the budgetIssue purchase orders for subcontractor workParticipate in a rotational on-call scheduleOversee the work of all general contractors and their laborers and guide as necessary to ensure high-quality workNegotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractorsProvide the cost estimate of the construction up front and accurately control the budget throughout the projectObtain all necessary permits and licenses from the appropriate authorities and ensure construction is up to codeClarify the scope with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materialsQualificationsMust live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, Michigan, to be consideredA college degree in a construction-related field is a plus1 year of experience as a construction project manager, preferably in the restoration/construction industryPossess a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building xijylhu process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methodsExcellent time-management, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsKnowledge of Xactimate and project management softwareSelf-motivated, responsible, and accountableAbility to recognize and solve problems independentlyExcellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skillsPMP certification is a plusExperience using construction or project management software preferredOSHA 30 certificationOne year of previous experience as a construction project manager required
