Property Manager - Affordable Housing

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and resident relations, ensuring the property operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of service and compliance with affordable housing programs.Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of affordable housing property/properties, ensuring smooth management and maintenanceEnsure full compliance with affordable housing regulations (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, and other local/state programs)Manage the leasing process including applicant screening, income certifications, recertifications, and waitlistsSupervise and mentor on-site staff including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and administrative staffPrepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize NOI performanceHandle resident relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts professionally and efficientlyCoordinate property maintenance, inspections, and capital improvement projectsMaintain accurate records and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirementsWork closely with ownership and asset management to meet operational and financial goalsEnsure timely rent collection and manage delinquency and eviction processes in compliance with regulationsQualifications:3+ xijylhu years of property management experience, with a focus on affordable housingStrong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, or other affordable housing programsExperience with income certifications and recertifications requiredProven ability to manage budgets and financial reportingStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and conflict resolution abilitiesProficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage)
