Today we have over $320 million in real estate development in progress across over 20 projects and 250 units.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.About the RoleTerrene Homes is looking for a Project Architect/Drafter to lead Terrene Architecture. This role leads custom residential projects from concept through permit-ready plans. This hybrid role blends design, drafting, project management, and coordination. The individual is responsible for guiding the full lifecycle of each home design"”owning the project's quality, schedule, and communication while also producing the drawings that bring it all together.Key ResponsibilitiesLead residential design projects from initial concept through final construction documents.Manage team of Architectural Drafters, Permit & Project Coordinators. Develop floor plans, elevations, and architectural designs in coordination with Partners, Designers and Terrene Architecture.Create full plan sets including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, framing/roof plans, and details. Ensures designs meet sales criteria established by Sales, Marketing & Design Department.Coordinate with structural engineers, consultants, municipalities, and builders.Manage project timelines, deliverables, and revisions to ensure on-time completion.Conduct code research and ensure all plans comply with IRC and local building codes.Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners (engineers, designers, permitting offices).Solve design and technical challenges during drafting and construction phases.Maintain project documentation and version control across multiple active designs.Provide architectural direction to and prioritize workloads of drafters or support staff.Qualifications5-10+ years of residential design and drafting experience.Strong AutoCAD skills; Revit familiarity is a plus.Experience preparing full permit-ready residential plan sets.Solid understanding of residential building codes, wood-frame construction, and structural interactions.Ability to lead projects end-to-end with minimal oversight.Strong communication skills and comfort with project coordination.Experience working with municipalities in the permitting process (preferred).Degree in architecture or architectural technology is helpful but not required.Ideal CandidateA self-directed designer/drafter capable of managing the entire design + drafting workflow.Someone who can balance creativity with technical rigor.Comfortable making decisions independently and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.Strong communicator who thrives in a project"‘ownership role.Organization: Project Architect/Drafter is the head of Terrene Architecture and is part of the Forward Planning Department (Internal Channel). xijylhu This role reports to the Senior Project Manager of Forward Planning.
