Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our commercial construction team in Minneapolis. This role offers the opportunity to support large-scale, complex projects from preconstruction through closeout, working alongside project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Read all the information about this opportunity carefully, then use the application button below to send your CV and application.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership and support for commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts, and provide engineering solutions to field challenges.Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to coordinate project activities and resolve issues proactively.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.Monitor project progress, track costs, and assist in forecasting and reporting.Support quality control, safety compliance, and risk management initiatives on all projects.Mentor and guide junior engineers and field staff, fostering professional growth and development.Assist with constructability reviews, value engineering, and project closeout procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, or Structural Engineering (or related field).7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on mid-to-large-scale projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required.Why Join Us:Work on high-profile commercial projects in the Minneapolis area.Collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for career growth. xijylhu Competitive compensation and benefits package.
