An Assistant Superintendent has the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to manage the day-to-day field operations of multifamily construction projects. As Assistant Superintendent, you will oversee the subcontractors' work to ensure a complete project in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.Experience and QualificationsTwo (2) to three (3) years of construction management experience in a field role.An undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.Working knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc. as well as safety and government regulations.Able to work and communicate clearly and effectively with a team including tradespeople, inspectors, clients, etc.Ability to effectively work in sector-specific software such as ProCore or BlueBeam, as well as some experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).OSHA 30 is preferred but not required.Must be able to work weekends as needed.Must be able to travel locally to project sites as needed.In coordination with the Project Superintendent, become proficient with the creation and maintenance of a job schedule that defines the critical path and shows completion of the project according to contract completion dates and building turnover sequence.Management of the activities of multiple project subcontractors including coordination of weekly meetings, supervision of work put in place and corrections as needed, and punchlist management.Assist with the preparation of the jobsite utilization plan for temporary facilities, material, and equipment movement, staging, and site access.Assist with the preconstruction surveys by documenting existing conditions prior to the start of any work at the site.Ensure that all CBG safety standards are observed at all times, including OSHA, HAZCOM, and other applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift 40 pounds.Must be able to safely navigate a construction project site including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights.This position regularly works on-site at a construction job site where the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions.
