This individual will play a key role in preconstruction, leading estimating efforts on a wide range of commercial projects and working closely with leadership, operations, and clients to drive successful project outcomes.Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.This is a high-impact role offering visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to mentor junior team members while contributing to the company's continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimating efforts for ground-up and renovation commercial construction projectsPrepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates across multiple sectorsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost projectionsDevelop and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricingSolicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bidsCollaborate with project management and field teams during preconstruction and project turnoverParticipate in value engineering efforts and cost-saving strategiesPresent estimates and participate in client meetings and proposal developmentMentor and support junior estimators and preconstruction staffQualifications7-10+ years of estimating experience within commercial constructionStrong background in conceptual estimating Experience across sectors such as mission critical and commercial constructionProficiency in Procore, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to read and interpret construction xijylhu documents and specificationsStrong communication and leadership skillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredWhat's OfferedCompetitive base salary + performance-based bonusComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision), tuition reimbursement/continuing education stipends401(k) with company matchClear path for career advancement within a growing organizationCollaborative, team-oriented culture with strong leadership support
