Level Recruiting is looking for a construction estimator with experience working on luxury residential construction projects. This role is an excellent fit for someone with the experience to inform a solid grasp of the construction process and an interest in working with some of the best, craftsmen, designers and architects in the industry.Is this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.ResponsibilitiesPrepare comprehensive, accurate cost estimates for luxury residential construction projects including new builds, remodels, and additions.Perform detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents.Solicit, review, and negotiate bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, vendors, and suppliers in the Bay Area market.Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and design teams throughout the pre-construction phase.Analyze project scope, identify potential risks, and provide value engineering recommendations.Maintain and update internal cost databases, historical pricing, and estimating templates.Participate in client presentations and assist in contract negotiations as needed.Stay current with local labor rates, material costs, and construction market conditions in the San Francisco market.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of estimating experience specifically within residential construction "” luxury or high-end residential experience strongly preferred.Proven track record managing estimates for projects valued at $2M or above.Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, or similar platforms).Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes applicable to San Francisco and California residential projects.Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to present estimates and recommendations confidently to stakeholders.Familiarity with local subcontractor networks and Bay Area pricing is critical.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred "” equivalent experience considered.Compensation$150,000 - $180,000 annually Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco.
