You will work closely with the Director of Preconstruction and gain hands-on experience in cost analysis, trade coordination, and risk evaluation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project setup and document control (plans, specs, addenda)Assist with subcontractor outreach and bid solicitation (SmartBid)Track bids and support bid leveling and scope comparisonsAssist with quantity takeoffs and budget developmentIdentify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and potential risksSupport preparation of estimate packages for internal reviewAssist in assembling final bid/GMP submissionsMaintain organized cost data and project documentationWhat We're Looking ForStrong interest in construction estimating or preconstructionAnalytical mindset with attention to detailOrganized, process-driven, and able to manage multiple deadlinesStrong communication and teamwork skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learnQualificationsBachelor's degree (or in progress) in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldInternship or prior exposure to construction/estimating is a plusTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Excel (strongly preferred)Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)Experience with SmartBid, PlanGrid, or Autodesk Build is a plusWhy Join First FloridaDirect exposure to real project budgets and bidding strategyMentorship from experienced preconstruction leadershipOpportunity to work on impactful projects across FloridaEqual Opportunity Employer & Drug-Free WorkplaceFirst Florida Constructors is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
