This position owns the development and continuous enhancement of the desktop environment, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction. The role provides expert-level support for current and emerging end-user computing architectures while engineering scalable solutions that align with organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include implementing robust solutions for present and future service requirements, strengthening the organization's security posture, and establishing best practices for desktop engineering standards across the enterprise.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.Build and package application deployments for end-user environments using Omnissa AppVolumesConfigure and maintain end-user profile management solutions with Omnissa UEM/DEMTroubleshoot complex application installation, performance, and runtime issues across desktopMaintain and optimize operating system base images, including feature updates, security patches, and vulnerability remediationDevelop and maintain automation scripts and tools for desktop provisioning, patching, and system managementDevelop, enhance, debug, and implement desktop software solutionsResolve escalated production issues related to desktop and mobile software applicationsAddress complex problems involving systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform environmentsDrive innovation in end-user experience through evaluation and recommendation of emerging technologiesChallenge existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvementsProvide tactical and strategic input on overall end-user computing experienceIdentify and remove technical barriers that impact end-user productivity and business enablementCollaborate with cross-functional teams (security, networking, applications, infrastructure) on integrated solutionsParticipate in technical review sessions and knowledge-sharing initiativesContribute subject matter expertise to IT planning discussionsCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, policies, procedures, and architecture diagramsDocument best practices and technical standards for desktop engineering processesDocument configuration management and deployment proceduresContribute to multiple projects of varying complexity and timelines as a senior technical resourceProvide on-call support according to assigned rotation scheduleEnsure desktop systems meet security, compliance, and performance requirementsParticipate in change management and incident response processesPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneQualifications:The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
