The primary focus of this role is the successful cutover of DNS and DHCP services, alongside the implementation of IPAM functionality. Following the initial migration, you will provide ongoing "care and feeding" for the environment, including support for our Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure.This is an ideal role for a career contractor or short-term consultant who excels in high-visibility migration projects and possesses a deep technical understanding of core network services.Key Responsibilities:Infoblox Migration: Lead the cutover of DNS and DHCP services to Infoblox, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime for the enterprise.IPAM Implementation: Configure and manage IP Address Management (IPAM) functionality within the Infoblox environment.Infrastructure Support: Provide engineering and maintenance support for the Nutanix hypervisor and infrastructure platform.Automation: Develop scripts to automate DNS updates and streamline network administrative tasks.Technical Support: Transition into a "care and feeding" phase post-migration, providing high-level support and maintenance for the newly implemented systems.Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation regarding migration steps, configurations, and standard operating procedures.Technical Requirements:Infoblox Expertise: Heavy experience with Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) is required.Migration Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing DNS/DHCP migrations or Infoblox cutovers.Nutanix Knowledge: Solid exposure to the Nutanix hypervisor and infrastructure platform.Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking principles related to DHCP and IP address management (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Scripting/Automation: Ability to utilize scripting (e.g., PowerShell or Python) for automation within an Infoblox environment is a significant plus.
