Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator - Special Inspection focus with at least 5 years of experience in the Bay Area to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in analyzing structural, concrete, and special inspection requirements (e.g., ICC, AWS, ACI) to produce comprehensive, accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects. Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Key ResponsibilitiesTake-offs & Estimation: Perform accurate quantity take-offs for all construction materials, with a specialized focus on structural steel, concrete, and masonry inspection requirements.Bid Management: Review construction plans, specifications, and special provisions to identify project scope and prepare full-cost proposals.Special Inspection Focus: Identify, quantify, and cost out required structural special inspections (e.g., steel welding, bolt testing, concrete sampling) based on building codes.Software Proficiency: Bluebeam, AdobeQualificationsExperience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically within the Bay Area market.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction codes (CBC), construction methods, and materials, particularly structural elements.Special Inspection Expertise: Familiarity with special inspection requirements, ICC/AWS certifications are a significant plus. xijylhu Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field.
